The FOL-WAVE Construction and Study of Mode Properties of Planar Waveguide system is a complete laboratory setup for designing and analyzing single-mode and multimode planar optical waveguides using ion-exchange techniques. It includes specialized optical mounting hardware, a He-Ne laser source, precision prism-coupling arrangements, and essential fabrication tools such as a furnace and crucible. This platform enables students and researchers to study guided modes, effective refractive index, and critical mode parameters in planar waveguides
