Acoustic System Development & Experimental Platform (ASDEP)
A Universal Underwater Research Ecosystem Now in Indian Defence Labs
Akademika’s Acoustic System Development and Experimental Platform (ASDEP) is a cutting-edge electromechanical underwater test environment designed for advanced research in underwater communication, sonar, navigation, and transducer development all within the comfort of a laboratory setup.
Built for defence research institutions and academic laboratories striving for real-world underwater experimentation.
Proudly deployed at: INS Valsura
Why ASDEP?
ASDEP combines 12-axis automated precision motion and 4-degree-of-freedom positioning with a robust 6’×4’×4’ soft-glass test tank making it the ideal platform for hydro-acoustic testing, calibration, and validation.
Whether your focus is:
1. Underwater communication systems
2. Sonar transducers & hydrophones
3. Acoustic signal propagation studies
4. Sensor benchmarking & characterization
5. Marine robotics and navigation algorithms
ASDEP provides the accuracy, repeatability, and flexibility you need.
